Split Decision is a daily game. It has no accounts and never asks for your name, email or other personal details.
What we store
- A random player ID in a cookie, so each browser gets one vote per question. It isn't tied to who you are.
- Your votes: which side you picked and your guess, saved with that random ID. They're combined into the percentages everyone sees.
- Questions you suggest, saved with the same random ID so we can limit how many one browser sends.
- Groups you create or join: the group name and the nickname you pick, visible only to members of that group, who can see your scores and guesses for rooms they've also finished.
- Your progress, scores and streak, saved only on your device (browser local storage). Clearing your browser data erases them.
Analytics
We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views. It doesn't use cookies and doesn't track you across other sites.
Services we use
- Vercel hosts the site.
- Neon stores votes and suggested questions.
- Anthropic's Claude may help write daily questions and review suggested questions. It sees the question text only, never your player ID.
What we don't do
We don't sell your data, and we don't show ads right now. If that changes, this page will be updated first.
